Lenses

MJ Optical, our laboratory partner, fabricates lenses in accordance with ANSI Z80.1 for Ophthalmic Lenses under the supervision of an ABO certified optician.

Lenses are inspected prior to shipment and include a one-year warranty based on industry standards.

MJ Optical also performs anti-reflective coating, scratch coating, and tinting in-house. We provide a variety of lens solutions and advanced technologies from highly regarded companies including IOT, Vision Ease, Younger, Essilor, and Hoya.

We offer a unique frame collection only available through Thundercloud Optical, Dream Catcher. Dream Catcher frames are designed by our in-house Native artist and are inspired by the Native American culture, outdoor lifestyles, and the environment. In addition to the Dream Catcher collection, Thundercloud Optical partners with four frame vendors to provide a diverse frame board collection representing various name brand designs, price points, and age groups. Our frame board collection includes:

Frames include a one-year warranty based on industry standards. Safety frames and sport goggles are also available, upon request, but do not include a one-year warranty.

Personal Service

• Thundercloud Optical assigns an Optical Service Specialist to each account.
• Our Optical Service Specialists communicate with account’s point of contact on a day-to-day basis, or as needed, resolve identified problems, process orders and payments, and ensure orders are accurately priced and all required information is provided. 
• Optical Service Specialists are available via email, fax, and phone during customer service hours.

Frequent and Open Communication

• Beyond our daily contact with customers, our goal is to conduct an on-site visit with each account at least once per year, weather and other conditions permitting.
• The Office Manager and owner are also available to address any issues or concerns that may arise. 

Quick Product Turnaround

• We strive to ensure orders (with complete and accurate information) are shipped within 10 business days of the order date.
• Work in progress and shipping dates are available electronically through the online job tracking system on the MJ Optical website. 

Training

• We provide annual, 2 ½ day, Optical Dispensing 101 training in Omaha, NE, as needed. 
• The training includes classroom lecture and hands-on training covering lens types, lens materials, frame selection, frame adjustments, pricing, and ordering tips.

Flexible Payment Options

• We accept automated bank deposits, credit cards, money orders, and non-personal checks for payment. 
• We provide monthly statements of invoices, including two or more separate lines of accounting.
